Webster City is ideally located on four-lane U.S. Highway 20 and
just 12 miles from Interstate 35, the Canada to Mexico NAFTA Corridor.


The region is home to several national and regional trucking companies
including Smithway and Decker that serve Webster City area businesses.
Over 20 common carriers serve the area. Freight forwarding, freight
packaging, LTL services and dispatch services are also available
locally.
The Canadian National and Union Pacific Railroads serve Webster
City. Intermodal service is available in Des Moines, about an hour
and half from Webster City.

Two navigable rivers, the Mississippi and Missouri, border the
State of Iowa. Webster City, located in the center of the state,
is less than 2 1/2 hours from the Port of Dubuque on the Mississippi
River and the Port of Sioux City on the Missouri River. Terminals
along the rivers handle all types of products by barge, rail
or truck. Some of the products transferred are: steel products,
lumber, paper, iron ore, appliances, grain and other dry and

City Municipal Airport boasts a 4,007 foot runway with a full
time FBO.
Commercial air service is available at the Fort
Dodge Regional Airport, a 25-minute drive from Webster City.
Northwest Airlink provides daily direct service to the Minneapolis/St.
Paul International Airport. Additional commercial air service options
are available at the Des Moines International Airport, a little
over a one-hour drive and at the Minneapolis/St. Paul International
Airport, a three-hour drive.
