Electric
Webster City has a municipal-owned electric utility. Businesses located in our community benefit from the City's highly competitive commercial and industrial rates. Natural Gas Natural gas is provided by Aquila. Aquila's company-wide economic development team helps our organization organize, plan and implement local community programs that support business development and expansion. Water/Sewer
Webster City has municipal-owned water system. Water plant capacity is 3.5 MGD and elevated storage capacity is 1 million gallons. The average consumption is 1.3 MGD. The wastewater treatment plant's average daily flow is 1.5 MGD and the design flow is 2.3 MGD.

Telecommunications Webster City is wired to meet your advanced telecommunications needs. Qwest and Iowa Telecom provide local telephone service. Both companies also provide long distance service. Several companies, including Qwest, Northwest Internet Services, PrairieInet, Mediacom and Woolstock Mutual Telephone, provide high-speed wireless, high speed land lines and dial up Internet services. The City of Webster City has also invested in a fiber optic ring that is rented by Woolstock Mutual Telephone to provide higher speed and high speed broad bandwidth for business use.
