The Webster
City School District has approximately 1,720 students in grades
K-12. High school graduation rates are high, drop-out rates are
low and a high percentage of students pursue further education with
many attending Iowa Central Community College.
Webster City also has the option of St. Thomas Catholic school
for grades K-6. The school has over 125 students and shares extracurricular
activities such as band with the public school system.
For students interested in pursuing advanced training and education
and meeting eligibility requirements, Webster City High School has
an articulation agreement with Iowa Central Community College. Students
may attend classes locally at ICCC's Webster City campus or drive
a short 20 minutes to the main campus in Fort Dodge while still
in high school.

Webster City has two child care centers and both have recently expanded to the meet the needs of our working parents. Through a community coalition, over $1.4 million was raised to renovate a vacated commercial property transforming it into a wonderful new home for Webster City Day Care. The new Center is able to accommodate 175 children. The Riverview Early Childhood Center was also recently renovated to more efficiently use the space available and increase capacity to accommodate 100 children.
Hamilton Hospital located in Webster City is a premier healthcare facility providing a full range of services in an inpatient and outpatient setting as well as 24 hour emergency care services.
Hamilton Hospital can provide area employers assistance in hiring
and maintaining a healthy workforce by offering a comprehensive
program of corporate health services. A Federal CLIA-certified laboratory
and a Certified Occupational Health Nurse provide service. For more

Excellent medical services are also available through the Webster
City Medical Clinic, McFarland
Clinic, and Trimark
Physicians Group. Webster City Medical Clinic and Trimark Physicians
Group are co-located in a newly expanded and renovated clinic. There
is also a newly opened dermatology clinic in Webster City. The Bliss
Cancer Center, also located in a newly constructed facility, provides
access to excellent oncology care.
Recreation and cultural opportunities are affordable and accessible.
Webster City has many fine parks including Kendall Young Park, a
beautiful scenic park along the Boone River; Bonebright Museum Complex,
an historic park area that includes a Depot Museum, Harmony Schoolhouse,
relic log cabins, and the historic Hamilton County Courthouse; and
eleven other parks with biking/hiking trails, softball and baseball
fields and open play spaces. In addition Brush Creek State Park
and Briggs Woods State Park are nearby. We have an outdoor swimming
pool for summertime fun and an indoor pool located in Fuller Hall
Recreation Center.
Webster City has a very active community theater. Click

Webster City neighborhoods are clean, safe and friendly. Newcomers
are welcomed to our community and encouraged to "get involved"

In 2002, the average sale price of home was $81,968 and new housing
developments are underway. There is three-year 100 percent tax abatement
on in-fill lot residential construction with in Webster City. This
program has been particularly effective at using sites that are
already served by city infrastructure. The city also offers a down
payment assistance program as well as an owner occupied rehabilitation
program for residential units.
Webster City is an easy place to live and work. There is no traffic
congestion nor long commutes. Our close proximity to Des Moines
